Teaching teens aged 14-21 who are interested in a fire service career basic skills that will help them in their future endeavors. We participate in various competitions against other explorer posts.
Explorers are active with many aspects of participating fire departments, assisting with many of the daily behind the scenes operations.
While they obviously can not fight actual fires, explorers also learn valuable life lessons associated with their chosen career, such as proper use of firefighting equipment and fire safety all while using actual tools, ie, the "jaws of life"
