Mean Street Ministry is partnering with Heading Home to open up the first ever Severe Weather Family Shelter in Jefferson County.
Last winter season there were 62 nights in which the weather became fatally cold.
Heading Home and our partnering agencies provided motel vouchers to 195 adults and 150 children, protecting them from some of the most frigid and severe winter nights.
Due to the lack of shelter beds, it is likely that these families would be sleeping in cars, abandoned buildings, or worse yet on the streets, this winter if we were not doing this.
Thank you for visiting our page, please share it with others and help us get the word out.
Please contact us at 303-232-2500 for volunteer opportunities!
