Family Life Worship Center

It was about the second week of May 2014, when 13 faithful apostolic believers began meeting in one of their homes. It was the home of Todd and Brenda Munson. They had opened up their hearts and home to some friends without a church, never realizing that God was beginning to prepare them to lead this weary band.
In a short amount of time, 13 grew to 22 and the Munson home could no longer contain the growth, so the newly appointed Pastor Todd rented a small store front suite next to Premier Physical Therapy in Ironton, Ohio. On August 10th of 2014 Family Life Worship Center was born and held their first service in the new building.
The sanctuary was small, only seating about 58-60 people. But Pastor Todd’s faithful leadership and commitment to outreach; ministering to the lost, hurting, the poor, the addict, and depressed, resulted in a mighty blessing of God’s favor being poured out on Family Life Worship Center. We experienced a growth explosion! And by late December 2014 it was obvious that we already needed more room.
We converted what was the former fellowship hall to our new sanctuary, and made the old sanctuary the new fellowship hall. This arrangement gave us more seating capacity, taking it to 78-80. And on January 4th, 2015 we held our first service in this new sanctuary. However construction was incomplete.
God continued to bless our little church and one by one we continued to grow. Folk’s lives were being changed, transformed, and renewed. And we’ve witnessed so many come and repent of their sins, and wash them all away in the watery grave of baptism in Jesus name, and be filled with the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
After an entire week of working day and night, construction was finally complete on our new sanctuary, just in time for Easter. And on Easter Sunday 2015, we watched again as God blessed us and confirmed that our church has been established in just the right place and at just the right time, when we blew our previous attendance record of 78 out of the water with nearly 120 in worship service that day! Praise God!
There simply is no other explanation for such fast and phenomenal grow as this, and in such a short amount of time than to say that we are staying in the center of God’s will. We believe that we’re here for such a time as this: to reach into a lost and dying world to rescue those that have been hurt, those that are addicted, suffering from depression, and being held captive by the enemy of this world. And we believe that God honor’s our commitment to reach for those that other churches neglect, have forgotten about, and have cast to the wayside.
The very foundation of our church is based upon outreach; with Jesus Christ our chief cornerstone. We are a soul winning, soul loving, and a soul saving station in the city of Ironton, Ohio. And we are here to establish God’s church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it!
We invite you to join us every Sunday afternoon at 2pm for Sunday School and Praise & Worship Service, then again for Wednesday Bible Study at 7pm. We are an Apostolic Church, loving God and loving each other, as we turn hearts toward Heaven and home! To say that we are excited about what God is doing is an understatement, but we are also humbled by God’s grace and favor. He could have chosen anyone to do what we are doing, but He has allowed us to do it. We simple love God and love people. And if there is one thing that we would want everyone to know more than anything, it’s this: We love you, no matter what, and there’s nothing you can do about it!
