We envision a future:

* where Fermilab’s open spaces are actively managed and improved according to the ecosystem management philosophy;
* where Fermilab is recognized as a center for the creation of natural areas within the region;
* where environmental research is actively carried out, and
* where the people of the surrounding communities consider the enjoyment of our open spaces to be a valuable contributor to a high quality of life.
