Who are you? That is the question that is constantly before us. At First Christian Church we strive to answer that question by living with Hearts and Hands for Christ. With hearts for Christ, we strive to: practice community by living as a family instead of an institution; live hospitality by keeping an empty seat at the Lord’s Table for all who seek God; preach the grace of God by loving our neighbors and one another, even and most especially when we are at our most unlovable. With hands for Christ, we strive to: teach the Gospel as a living word that invites questions and welcomes differing opinions; give hope by confronting circumstances that create suffering in our community with works of love and generosity; and speak the truth that God is love, and those who remain in love remain in God and God remains in them. - 1John 4:16b
