First Day Of Winter Half/Full Marathon/50K

Fitness Plus 24's First Day of Winter Half?Full/50K

Come join in for Scioto County's for 2016's Half/Full/50K running event. The course is located at Riverside Park in West Portsmouth and will consist of multiple loops- Each loop is less then 2 miles with an elevation gain of 80 feet per loop. 50K will be 16 loops. The Marathon starts with a reverse shorter loop then follows the main course for a total of 1 reverse 1 mile loop and 13 full loops. The half marathon will walk to their start line which is the mailbox on the trail and run 7 full loops. The Half will be slightly longer then 13.1 miles....more for you money -The course is all trail and grass except for a very small section upon arriving back to the shelter house to begin each loop. Event start time

Start time will be 7:30am with the course closing at 4pm. Packet pick up will be the morning of the race starting at 6:45 and the night before between 5-7pm

All entrants will receive a 16oz drinking glass and some other goodies.
You must FINISH to receive your High Sierra Duffle Bag valued at $65- please register before October 31st to guarantee your finisher bag-T
There will be overall male and overall female awards as well as age group awards -

Weather

Its Southern Ohio and what can I say about the weather...it can be anything!! In 2013 we held this event as a Fat Ass style and we had unseasonable warm temps at almost 70 degrees with heavy rains the day before and showers on and off during the race which caused lots of fun mud on the course!! In 2014 temps were chilly but not unbearable and in the 40's -Typical weather in December in Portsmouth is mid 40's
