FIT For The Future

F.I.T. For the Future is a non-profit community development group that focuses on encouraging all generations to create holistically healthy futures by making proactive decisions in the present.
F.I.T. For The Future is an ardent believer in the age old saying: “It takes a village to raise a child”. This adage exemplifies the foundation of F.I.T. For The Future because as with our ancestors, F.I.T. For The Future aims to cultivate citizens who will not just survive, but thrive in life and society. The scope of our outreaches touches (but isn’t limited to) low-income families, single parent households, and at risk youth. F.I.T. For The Future seeks to develop the mental, physical, and spiritual qualities within youth and young adults through a variety of activities, exposure, knowledge, opportunities, and encouragement.

To accomplish our goals, F.I.T. For The Future actively engages our community by hosting a number of events and programs throughout the year. During the summer we host an exploratory sports camp for children ages 5 – 17. During the spring and fall semesters, F.I.T. For The Future organizes The M.E.N.S Club, a mentoring and leadership development program for young men ages 6-12 and 13-18. F.I.T. For the Future also host Annual Toys For Tots Drives, Food Distribution Programs, A Gentlemen’s Ball, and Community Trailblazer Awards Benefit Dinner.

The programs mentioned above are only the beginning of our plans to impact Douglas County and the world. The only way that we can sustain the fire of “Faith Inspired Thinking”, is through the assistance of community partners. We already have partnerships with many local community groups, leaders, and businesses. However, maintaining our vision while also expanding our impact requires “the village”- that’s where YOU come in.
