The Fort Pitt Block House is Pittsburgh's oldest architectural landmark and is located in Point State Park. Constructed in 1764, the building served as a military redoubt of Fort Pitt during Pontiac's Rebellion. It has been independently owned and operated by the Fort Pitt Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution since 1894. The Block House is the only surviving structure of Fort Pitt and the oldest authenticated structure in Western Pennsylvania. It is part of the Forks of the Ohio National Historic Landmark.
