Founding Furniture

I began my pursuit of a career in woodworking at a very young age. I was self taught until I went to Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology where I earned an Associates Degree in Cabinetmaking and Millwork. While at college, my interest in the 18th Century Furniture grew tremendously. I especially became interested in the Queen Anne and Chippendale styles with cabriole legs, and elaborate carvings. I am now a furniture maker by trade. I take orders on custom pieces, and build things the way they would have been built 250 years ago. My dovetails are cut by hand. Legs and aprons are mortised and tenoned. My finishes are typically stain, linseed oil, shellac, and paste wax: a traditional rich finish. But the finish is always something you can customize as well.

My pieces are designed and built to last generations, not a couple years.
