Foundry Kitchen and Tavern prides itself on providing guests with cuisine prepared with the most pristine ingredients by a kitchen with extensive culinary experience. Chef/Owner Chris Bruno and Chef de Cuisine Ruperto Cardenas share the same approach to cooking. They allow the flavors of the freshest vegetables, fish, and meats to highlight themselves. The Progressive American Cuisine with a tavern twist makes Foundry approachable to anyone looking for a unique dining experience or just a phenomenal burger on the run.

Foundry Kitchen and Tavern is located in a historic 150 year old 2 story brick building in the quaint little Village of Sandy Hook. A good portion of the building has been restored to exude its original appeal by highlighting the wood floor, exposed brick, and hemlock paneling which all date back to the mid 1800’s. By combining these original design elements with the tables we built ourselves from used pallets and wine boxes, a warm, welcoming ambiance has emerged. Whether it’s the huge windows in our tavern and dining room open on a breezy summer night or dining on our patio overlooking Pootatuck River, Foundry offers an experience that is uniquely enjoyable.
