FoWin Brand Windows were born out of a do-it-yourself dream: You don't need an expensive contractor to beautify your home's exterior.

Shawna has worked for over 15 years in her family's small, commercial construction business, a company that has over 150 different construction projects throughout the U.S. After re-siding her house, Shawna was displeased with the empty wall on her garage that looked toward her street. "I couldn't do anything with it that I liked," she recalls. "I'm always doing projects, yet I can't afford to be hiring people all the time to make home improvements."

Eager to upgrade without breaking the bank, Shawna attacked the project on her own. With some tools and elbow grease, she furnished the empty garage wall with a traditional white window that hung comfortably on the exterior. The deceptively simple decorative window gave her home a pleasing architectural balance--so much so that one project seemed to lead into another.

After a quick drive down her street, Shawna wondered if other homeowners could benefit from such an easy and cost-effective home improvement. After investigating she enlisted her family and the FoWin was born, expanding from faux windows into sidelights and other specialty shapes.
