Franciscan University of Steubenville

Franciscan University of Steubenville is an academically excellent, passionately Catholic institution of higher education located in Steubenville, Ohio. Franciscan University offers more than 40 undergraduate majors and eight graduate programs at our beautiful hilltop campus, as well as three fully online graduate programs. We are centered on the living in the love and truth of Christ, which permeates everything we do from the classroom, to research, to student life, to athletics, to missionary outreach. Our households system, launched in 1975, changes lives here on campus and brings our students to Christ, while our Steubenville Conferences, also beginning in 1975, evangelize tens of thousands of youth, young adults, and adults, every summer. Our life-changing study abroad program based in a renovated and restored 14th-century Carthusian monastery in Gaming, Austria has been recognized as one of the best in the entire country. Founded by the Franciscans Third Order Regular of the Province of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in 1946 as the College of Steubenville, Franciscan's student body includes students from all 50 U.S. states as well as at least a dozen other countries, and has become one of the most well-known, well-respected, faithfully Catholic institutions in the world.
