"Friends of Industry"

Friends of Industry started in the mid 2000's when Gustave Campanini decided to open up his studio to young people who needed a place to work and make art. Over the subsequent years it became a nexus of art activity in downtown Duluth, fostering friendships and all kinds of new creative endeavors and collaborations. It seems the denizens of this alley studio are always up to something industrious, hence the name "Friends of Industry".

While FOI is primarily a work and play space (hey we have not one, but 2 climbing walls and even occasionally have an archery range set up) we occasionally host events and serve as a temporary gallery for art shows. Past shows have included:

- The debut of Eric Horn's silent movie "Chronicle" based on his upcoming graphic novel, and a simultaneous art show focusing around locally made steampunk themed works. This was possibly the first major steampunk event in Duluth.

- RedRum - a Limbo Gallery show organized by Eris Vafias

- The 2011 Jitters Halloween Bash ( http://jitterscoffeeduluth.com/ )

- Concerts by bands including the Tinselfaries.

- Live painting during the 2012 Duluth Arts Week/Gallery Progressive
