Michelle Chatterton works as an Emergency Management Program Coordinator for King County. In the event of a natural disaster such as an earthquake or volcanic eruption, Chatterton would play an integral role in the Puget Sound region’s emergency response plan.
She also serves on the City of Puyallup’s Parks, Recreation and Senior Advisory Board, a position confirmed by the city council in 2015.
Chatterton, 26, grew up in Puyallup and owns a home in the city’s downtown. She graduated from Puyallup High School in 2007, where she was an active leader in a local Puyallup 4-H chapter. Chatterton went on to earn her B.A. from Western Washington University and a Master of Public Administration from Seattle University.
