This group was originally founded in 1985 by Escott O. Norton to bring attention to the beautiful Rialto Theatre in South Pasadena, to aid in research and restoration, and to celebrate the Rialto's 60th Anniversary. The Rialto needs our help and attention NOW! It has been closed and is sitting vacant. Because of this, Friends of the Rialto is actively fundraising in hopes of signing the lease, restoring and reopening the Rialto as a multi-use performing arts and cinema venue.
