<3 <3 And now a word from Nuggie's Mommy <3 <3

In September of 2004, I became the proud Mommy of the most adorable golden retriever that, little did I know, would become one of the biggest blessings in my life. In his younger years, Nuggie was the epitome of health. Rarely did he have to visit the vet except for his yearly check-ups and vaccinations. As it happens with us humans, however, as the years passed my pup's health started declining. Flakey skin, hot spots, arthritis, weight-gain, fatty lipomas....you name it, he had it.

Vet visits led to antibiotics, and suggestions to put him on this medication to help one ailment and another pill to address a different issue. The meds helped...temporarily...but there was always a relapse!! Pills weren't addressing the root of the problem, and since doctors seemed to prefer to prescribe rather than to inform or educate, I was just going to have to get to reading and educate myself.

Over the years, I began implementing the knowledge I acquired through my research. I changed my Nuggie's food, and began using different organic oils, herbs, and spices in his meals and in his treats. I incorporated different sources of protein into his diet, and started feeding him more fruits and veggies. And sure enough, all those issues he once had started clearing up. Hot spots - GONE; dry, flakey skin - DONE WITH; arthritis - OUTTA HERE!! My once chubby 90-some pound pup began leaning-out, and now weighs in at a healthy 75 pounds and fools everyone he meets into thinking he's a mere 7 years old! (His sugary face is the only thing that gives his real age away!)
