More about Gnostic Sanctuary / Church of Gnosis (Ecclesia Gnostica Mysteriorum)

The Gnostic Sanctuary in Redwood City, California is an outpost for the Pleroma, a Sanctuary for Travelers. Its function can be described, but its essence cannot—it must be experienced. At one level, it is a physical sacred space that evokes profound peace and facilitates deep communion with the Mystery that is within and without. At another level it is not a physical place at all, but rather a portal, a gateway that exists simultaneously within temporal space and time as well as eternity. It is also a rich archetypal symbol layered with meaning.

The Gnostic Sanctuary is an inclusive sacred space with no doctrine, dogma, or membership that welcomes seekers from all traditions, backgrounds and beliefs. We have no membership.

About its founder: Bishop Rosamonde Miller (Tau Rosamonde) is a modern urban mystic. She is an ordained priest (1974) and a consecrated Gnostic Bishop (1981), as well as hierophant of the Holy Order of Miriam of Magdala (1962). Tau Rosamonde extracts the living wisdom of the ancient Gnostics, as well as that of the sages of diverse spiritual philosophies and traditions, modern science and, mainly, upon her own experience of Gnosis.

+Rosamonde coined the term “Wild Gnosis” to depict a direct, transforming experience left free, untamed and unconditioned by culture, religion, concepts and beliefs; the gnosis that is beyond traditions, “the tradition beyond tradition.” Wild Gnosis arises in a quiet mind, in a dimension not touched by words and chronological time.
