Sunday School Ministry

Sunday School at First Baptist is a wonderful and very important part of Sunday morning worship. There are classes for all ages. In these classes you will meet friendly and caring people your own age. You will also begin to learn more about the Christian life and your walk of faith with God.

In each class you will discover that they have various activities going on that you will enjoy participating in.

Prime-timer Ministry

At First Baptist our seniors are special people. Daytime and evening trips and outings are planned periodically. Everyone is invited to participate.

Women’s Ministry
W.I.N.G.S – Women IN Gods Service
We have a dedicated group of women who actively serve in the church. This ministry of women host events throughout the year that promote growth and relationship between each other and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Music Ministry

Here at Grant First Baptist we combine two important aspects in our worship, Music and Ministry. Music that is inspiring combined with preaching that is challenging. Through this mixture it is our prayer that you will experience the presence of the Holy Spirit.
Adult Choir: Consist of members who commit to rehearsals and ministry on a weekly basis. Our main focus is to share the Love of Jesus Christ through music and prepare hearts for the preaching of God’s Holy Word. We combine hymns, choruses, and evangelistic songs that lift up the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Children/Youth/Student Ministry
Here at First Baptist Church all children are unique and special to us. We are devoted to sharing the message of Christ with them so they can have the opportunity of receiving Christ as their personal Savior. We also believe that it is important to disciple and equip these young Christians to live for Jesus and share their faith.
We have several programs that help fulfill the calling God has given to each of us:
Sunday School: Each Sunday morning at 9:45 a.m., all ages meet in their respective classes to learn more about God’s plan and purpose for their life in a small group setting.
Children’s Church: Each Sunday morning we offer a Children’s Church program for age 3 - 3rd grade. Children’s church has a curriculum that is bible based with worship, craft and bible study.
Nursery: Nursery is provided each Sunday for infants to age 2.
First Light Kids: Each Wednesday evening kids age of 4 years to 5th grade meet in the CLC for food, worship and explore the bible in a small group setting.
Middle School: These students meet weekly for worship along with our high school students.
High School: Our students meet weekly to worship through song and study topics that are relevant to issues they face in life, from God’s Word, and to plan activities and outings. Each student has opportunity to enrich his or her life in God’s word.
Youth Activities: During the year various outings and events are planned for the students. A student mission trip and retreat trip are planned annually. These trips inspire and equip the student spiritually for their journey in life.
Children Camp: Each summer a fun and exciting children camp is planned. This is usually a weekend camp that has the goal to inspire young souls to grow in Him.
Vacation Bible School (VBS): Is an annual event that is designed in a unique specialized form of biblical education which focuses on children. This is a week-long event during the summer.
