At Grisafi Music Institute (GMI), we offer one-on-one lessons with the most experienced teachers in the Philadelphia area.
We specialize in all styles of music including: Rock, Jazz, Blues, Classical, Country, folk and Funk.

Gary Grisafi, owner and instructor has been teaching professionally for the past 25 years. He has taught at the Nelly Berman School of Music, Georges Music, Pats Music and privately. Gary has been performing and recording for the past 30 years with artists such as Al Martino, Lee Andrews & The Hearts, Peter Erskin, Stewkey from the "NAZZ" and many well-known local bands. He has recorded and has worked as a studio musician in local recording studios. Gary studied music (Jazz Guitar) at the University of the Arts (Philadelphia College of the Performing Arts) and studied Guitar with Pat Martino, Ed Flanagan and Howard Herbert. He is co-author of two music instruction books.
The teachers at Grisafi Music Institute are accomplished and talented musicians with years of experience in teaching, performing and recording. Our teachers are well educated in Music. With over 150 years of experience in teaching, GMI teachers will provide students of all ages the knowledge, technique and confidence to pursue their dreams and passion.

SOME THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW AND DO TO GET STARTED

There is a $20. non-refundable Registration fee due before your first lesson.
Students are required to have their own instrument. (except piano and drums)
Students are required to have a blank staff book and your teacher will tell you what other books you will need.

Lessons can be purchased monthly.
Cancellation policy: Students are required to give a 24-hour notice of cancellation. Students can call teacher directly and if you cannot reach teacher you can call GMI. All lessons must be made up during the week at any time or day, you can also add 10, 15, 20 or 30 minutes to a regular scheduled lesson.

GMI SOUND

Grisafi Music Institute provides sound, with a full sound (pa) system including a soundman to insure your event will run smoothly. We will provide top quality sound for any size event whether it is a speaking engagement, an event with recorded music or a live band. The sound system will include, speakers, microphones, mixing board, stands and a qualified sound engineer.
We will also provide background music of your choice or our sound system can accommodate the use of your own music via an iphone, ipod, ipad or CD.
In addition, Grisafi Music Institute can provide lights, lasers, strobe lights, follow spots, pipe and drape, stage deck and video cameras if needed for any event.
