Heather Jefts, Cedar Park City Council, Place 5

I love Cedar Park. My family and I moved here in 2005 for the close-knit community, small-town feel, and wide open spaces. A lot has changed since then, but it is still an incredible community with great people. I will work to bring more transparency, accessibility, and accountability to City Council. I am dedicated to making our Council more representative and inclusive of the growing diversity within our great city. We are in the midst of a boom in this city, and we need all voices to be heard about the direction we want our city to go. I want to see a continued focus on community, with a holistic approach to development. I don't want to see Cedar Park lose its individuality and character; I want us to be a unique and charming destination, and not a ubiquitous pass-through city. I want to make sure local small businesses are our focus and not out-of-state corporate chains and big box stores. We have that now; it's time to get back to what makes us special: the people who live here.
