More about Helping Our Troops (Massachusetts)

Helping Our Troops (H.O.T.) is program designed to support our American Hero's from Massachusetts serving oversea's in "Operation Iraqi & Enduring Freedom".

We are an all-volunteer, non-profit, 501(c)(3) public charity based out of Stoneham, Massachusetts, U.S.A.

Our mission is not political. We are here solely to send our love and support to our local soldiers while they are away from home and to provide them with care-packages filled with the necessary items they are in need of while serving our country.

Founded in November 2006 by Vietnam Veteran's, Frank Geary and Walter Kopek, who know first hand the importance of receiving letters and items from home while at war. As of June 2013 Helping Our Troops volunteers have shipped out over 65 tons of goods to our service men and woman since inception.

Our goal is to remind our soldiers that they are loved and supported 100% while they are deployed. We are committed to sending care-packages on a monthly basis to all members of the military we support.

Our program has been made possible by generous donations from the public. Mothers, Fathers, Aunts, Uncles, Sisters, Brothers, Cousins, Neighbors and Friends...someone, somewhere knows of a soldier serving our country...and when it hits home to someone you know - it changes everything. Support from home means the world to our service members and we want them to know how much we care. Your donations of support will enable the continuation of our program throughout the year or until the day all our soldiers return home safely and the war ends.
