HENS Nursery School

HENS Nursery School is named after a passage from Luke 13:34…..I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings.

HENS is a non-profit organization and a mission of the church. HENS currently serves almost 70 families. We offer programs for children ages 2, 3 and 4. The child must be that age before September 1st of that year. We provide a nurturing, non-bias, educational environment to every child. The children learn basic math skills through manipulatives, games and song. HENS follows the Pottsgrove School district’s curriculum for fundations and letter learning. Along with the educational factors, each child gains a sense of self confidence and acquires social/emotional skills for a healthy foundation.

HENS offers music and computer once a week. The children also have “Chapel” once a month where they meet with the Pastor to discuss morals and overall compassion for others.

Our 3 and 4 year old classes take field trips throughout the year to coincide with lessons being taught.

We now offer a 5 day program to accommodate our HENS families growing needs and work in conjunction with the local school districts offering full day Kindergarten. We do everything in our power to assure you child meets the academic standards and forms a solid “base” for learning.

HENS is now a secure building. Our doors are open 15 minutes prior to class and locked 15 minutes after classes start. A security camera is located on the Evans Street door and monitors the church/HENS visitors. This allows us to keep the doors locked and let in visitors as needed.
