Hidden Treasures

In September of 2013, I had reached the end of my ability to put up with the job I was in- it was taking a toll on me physically. Out of the blue one day, my mom asked me what I wanted to do with my life.

I answered, without thinking, "Have an antique/vintage store!".

Her response? "Then let's do it!"

I started selling such things on Ebay less than three weeks later, (http://www.ebay.com/usr/uncoverhiddentreasures) and did that over the winter. In February of this year, I opened a cute, little booth in the basement of Kalona Antique Company. When July came around, I switched my booth to one in the upper level of the Pink Begonia (still in Kalona, Iowa). The latest move was to a different, larger area of the building, which is what you see in the cover picture of my business page.

It's been a year, and I already see the growth trend in my endeavor. I hope that sharing this with all of you will broaden my support structure and bring interest not only to what I am doing, but to the other shops and businesses that have supported me thus far.
