RING BELL FOR SHOP IF GATE IS NOT OPEN



Inside you will find a great selection of used records, some new releases on LP, accessories and a selection of refurbished vintage hi-fi equipment (receivers, speakers and turntables) for sale.

Store owner, Michael Hobson (Classic Records LP reissue label founder) wanted to create a place that music and vinyl lovers would want to come and hang out and talk about music. High-Fidelity boasts a red leather couch that is often a place to rest, have a cool drink and converse with the well schooled "music heads" that run the store. In addition, there is a purpose built stage at the back of the shop that hosts frequent live music shows by predominantly local bands. The staff will happily demo any record in the store or any of the vintage equipment as well. If you listen to music via a computer or an iDevice (iPad, iPhone or iPod) then you can audition and purchase the latest external sound units from High Resolution Technologies (HRT) called Music Streamers, on display in the shop.

Says Hobson, "The ultimate in High-Fidelity is Live Music," but adds that, "High-Fidelity is about great sound-quality which is what the shop is all about." He continues: "I wanted a place that feels comfortable, clean and that I would enjoy hanging out in and I hope that is what High-Fidelity has become."
