Hondo Police Department

The Hondo Police Department consists of 25 employees who "Protect and Serve God's Country" 365 days a year and available 24 hours a day. The ranks include the Chief of Police, Lieutenant, Detective Sergeant, 2 Investigators, 2 Patrol Sergeants, 12 Patrol Officers, a School Resource Officer, a Traffic Officer, an Office Manager, a Police Clerk, and 2 Animal Control Officers.

Mission Statement

We, in the Hondo Police Department, are dedicated to:

1) Provide police service to the citizens of Hondo in the most effective and efficient manner possible;
2) Provide police services courteously, ethically, honestly, progressively and professionally;
3) Provide the delivery of police services based on the Constitution of the United Sates, the laws of the State of Texas, Medina County and the Charter of the City of Hondo;
4) Provide police services in order to enhance and sustain the quality of life in an equitable manner, always remembering we are public servants.
