Hope 4 Dyslexics

As a fellow dyslexic, and now the mother of my own dyslexic child, I feel a calling to inspire children who suffer as I did. I want to be an inspiration to other dyslexics as my dyslexia teacher, Dr. Karen Vickery, was to me.

Since I am dyslexic myself, I understand your child's frustration and can empathize with them, and hope that through me, they can see that their problem can be solved. I can't imagine a more rewarding career than to teach others the skills that have allowed me to graduate from high school, to graduate with honors from the University of Texas, to complete graduate school, and to teach other children the very curriculum that allowed to advance in my educational career.

My goal is to find a group of dedicated students that could benefit from Multiple Teaching Approach (MTA) in order to allow them the skills necessary to be successful in their educational endeavors. MTA requires perseverance and hard work and a commitment from the parents of dyslexics to ensure the regular daily attendance required by the program in order to make it achievable for the student.

The earlier a discrepancy is detected by parents or teacher the earlier help can begin. Whether or not testing or diagnosis has been conducted, I am available to help you answer the questions you might have on how to move forward. Time is of the essence!
