Hop's Athletic Performance is a place to increase athleticism utilizing an assessment, plan/address, attack system designed for each individual. By identifying and addressing specific deficits each client will have a plan to obtain goals in his/her own sport. The idea to start Hop's Athletic Performance came to me, Matt Hopkins while playing baseball in college and then further realized while studying for my Doctorate of Physical Therapy. The game of baseball has many unique qualities producing asymmetries after thousands of explosive repetitious movements. It is these imbalances in mobility, flexibility, strength, and motor programming that prevent baseball players from throwing, running, and hitting at the next level. I believe that by assessing a player’s individual impairments and then addressing them in a baseball specific functional based routine, only then can one reach full athletic potential.
