House Of Prayer Church

The House of Prayer Community Church was started by a man named Cam "Whick" Bass after leaving New Life Missionary Baptist Church. His purpose was that people could come in an atmosphere of Liberty to worship God without restrictions of man's interpretation of the Bible. For worship is not doing what man leads us into, but what the Holy Ghost leads us into.
Since starting the church, many people have come and gone but those who come to love and worship God in Spirit and in Truth, hang around.
Today we have one of the most recognized churches for it's love for people and the liberty to testify, sing and share what God has done for them and to enjoy the pure Gospel of God's grace and truth.
If you hunger for the truth and desire to be filled with the Holy Ghost, or as some say, Holy Spirit (the same), come with a receptive heart and grow with us.
The House of Prayer on Crow Mountain has people who have been in many different denominations. It's not what's over the door of the building you gather at, but what's in your heart. If you don't have a home church, we give you a special invitation to come worship with us.
Pastor Jimmy Bohannon has been the pastor of The House of Prayer Church approximately 30 years. He's a true man of God and his life proves out that he knows God personally. He is always doing something for someone, either helping with something around their home , praying for the sick, visiting the sick and whatever they need. It takes the love of God for anyone to do so much for other people. He preaches strictly Bible, he doesn't add to or take from.
