Inland Empire Liver Foundation

Inland Empire Liver Foundation (IELF) aims to improve liver disease awareness and education to patients and medical providers. IELF is governed and managed by a group of hepatologists and gastroenterologists interested in helping and caring for patients with liver disease. IELF is located in the Inland Empire area where we serve a large number of patients who are in dire need of liver disease treatment, for conditions such as hepatitis C and liver transplantation. IELF offers help to care for adults and children patients who do not have medical insurance coverage and need medical evaluation and treatment. IELF will help children and adult liver patients who need liver transplantation. This includes referral to liver transplantation center, education, and in some instance providing medications to patients after liver transplantation. Our mission is to increase the education and the knowledge of liver disease and screening for community physicians by providing educational materials and lectures or seminars. Physicians can also access the site to ask questions and gather relevant medical information and articles. A medical provider at IELF is always available to answer community physician questions by calling the office directly. Patient support group is an opportunity for patients to gather and share their real life experience and ask each other questions pertinent to their disease. Through this group patients can learn from each other and set the expectations relevant to their disease. The patient support group at IELF is led and conducted by a real life patient who underwent liver transplantation or experienced a serious liver condition. Patients can join this group by signing in and filling out a simple request form. IELF looks forward to working with community health activists and leaders on getting their support to its activity and extending the help that is needed for our patients in Inland Empire area of Southern California.
