Iowa House Hotel

The Iowa House Hotel, located in the Iowa Memorial Union on the University of Iowa campus, was built in 1965 as a class project. The 107 original rooms came equipped with two twin beds and were available to rent by University departments, student organizations, and guests.

The Iowa House Hotel has had the privileged of hosting President Carter, Martin Luther King Jr., The Joffery Ballet, and many other historical guests. Today the Iowa House Hotel operates with 97 sleeping rooms, including suites and executive rooms, to meet the needs of every guest.
