Jemison is a city in Chilton County, Alabama, United States. At the 2010 census the population was 2,585. The center of population of Alabama is located outside of Jemison, an area known as Jemison Division.GeographyJemison is located in northern Chilton County at 32°57'31.792" North, 86°44'36.841" West (32.958831, -86.743567).According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 29.2km2, of which 29.0km2 is land and 0.2km2, or 0.65%, is water.DemographicsAs of the census of 2010, there were 2,585 people, 997 households, and 733 families residing in the city. The population density was 231 people per square mile (89.2/km²). There were 1,096 housing units at an average density of 97.0 per square mile (37.5/km²).
