Jenn’s Pets, Plants, and House Sitting is THE alternative to the kennel experience for your pets. I believe pets don't love vacationing in a box while you’re away. Pet sitting in the pet’s home reduces stress put on the pet by allowing them to remain in their own environment and maintain their daily routine. Some of the other many benefits of in-home pet sitting are the reduced possibility of separation anxiety, the lack of exposure to loud and unfamiliar surroundings, and multiple unseen risk factors. Your pets will enjoy one-on-one play time in the comfort of their own home and/or yard with their toys and treats (TLC and belly rubs included). I am a former veterinary assistant with years of experience working with and around animals. That experience allows me to feel comfortable giving medications to your beloved pets in pill, liquid, or subcutaneous injection forms. It also allows me to readily detect signs of illness or trauma in a pet and get them the proper care they need. I have been around most domestic animals – dogs, cats, cattle, horses, llamas(!), birds, fish, rabbits, hamsters, mice, rats, gerbils, sheep, goats, reptiles and ferrets, to name a few. My pride and joy is my American Staffordshire Terrier mix rescue dog, Delila.

I am happy to visit your home just once a day for the care of your home and pets or I can stay overnight for an extended period for that long-awaited vacation as well as anything in between. I will treat your home, fur babies and possessions with total respect and will follow all your instructions to the letter. After your time away, the last thing you need is to come home to a “mess.” Rest assured that I will clean up any and all messes made by your pets, or me, before you get home. And your plants will still be alive. Other services I provide include: dog walking, poop and litter scooping, mail and newspaper retrieval, adjusting lights, alternating blinds or curtains, alarm setting, and pet taxi service to and from the vet or groomer.
