Jesse Shaw is a furniture designer from Brookline, MA. He trained at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Rockport Maine. In his second year, he earned the distinguished title of Fellow Resident, and was able to hone his skills under the guidance of master furniture makers. After obtaining his MFA in furniture design, the SCAD graduate went on to become the lead furniture designer for the design firm Currey & Company. His designs have been featured in Home Accents Today, Miami Home & Decor, and Furniture Today, and he has made guest appearances on the WGBH television show Rough Cut Woodworking with Tommy Mac. Jesse creates distinctive pieces for residential and commercial use. His work ranges from individual pieces in private collections, to designs produced for the mass market. His designs have been displayed at Philadelphia Museum of Arts & Crafts, Wharton Eshrick Museum, and Design Museum Boston & Savannah College of Art & Design permanent collection. He currently is a consultant on design projects, an instructor at the Elliot Street school in Jamaica Plain and builds unique furniture for clients in his wood shop in Stow MA.
