Kevin P. Fanning is an associate at Verros, Lafakis & Berkshire, PC. Mr. Fanning concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial and industrial property tax assessment appeals, property tax incentives, and land use/ zoning. He is a Certified Illinois Assessing Officer, and intimately understands the valuation process used in property tax assessments.
Kevin began his career as the Policy Director for Cook County Commissioner Jeffrey R. Tobolski while attending law school at night and on a scholarship. Later he became the Chief of Staff to the Cook County Finance Committee, and its Chairman, John P. Daley. During his tenure at Cook County Fanning worked closely with numerous county offices responsible for the valuation and collection of property taxes, as well as the agencies that handle property tax incentives.
Kevin is admitted to practice in Illinois. He received his J.D. from DePaul College of Law with a certificate in Business Law and earned both his B.A. and M.A. in Political Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, and Chicago Bar Association.
