Kingston Township is a township in Meeker County, Minnesota, United States. It includes the City of Kingston. The population was 1,266 at the 2000 census.Kingston Township was organized in 1858, and named after Kingston, Minnesota.GeographyAccording to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 53.6sqmi, of which 51.8sqmi of it is land and 1.8sqmi of it (3.36%) is water.Kingston Township is located in Townships 120 and 121 North of the Arkansas Base Line and Range 29 West of the 5th Principal Meridian.DemographicsAs of the census of 2000, there were 1,266 people, 409 households, and 332 families residing in the township. The population density was 24.4 people per square mile (9.4/km²). There were 531 housing units at an average density of 10.2/sq mi (4.0/km²).
