Krav Maga at Kovars Satori Academy

Krav Maga is the official hand-to-hand combat self-defense system used by the Israeli Defense Forces, and is widely regarded as the best self-defense system. Many people, including hundreds of law enforcement agents, train in Krav Maga in order to be physically and mentally prepared to handle confrontation. Krav Maga's techniques are practical and battlefield-tested and are proven to quickly eliminate threats. The moves are all simple to perform, and they work powerfully with your body's natural instincts, under realistic training scenarios. This makes Krav Maga easy to master, even for a novice.

Our Krav Maga program is headed by Tim Leard, a second degree black belt in Krav Maga, has been training and teaching Krav Maga since 2001. In that time Tim has also been certified as a KMA Force instructor as well as earning a Krav Maga Instructor’s diploma from Wingate Institute in Netanya, Israel. Originally certified under the Krav Worldwide banner, he now continues his training in conjunction with John Whitman and the Krav Maga Alliance. Tim along with a team of KMA certified instructors regularly teach beginner through advanced classes at our Carmichael Kovars location.
