It all started with a festival, and the desire to drink wine hands free!

Actually it started a little bit further back than that, but that was when my inspiration for my crochet glass necklaces struck me. I’ll get back to the wine and the festival in just a moment. I have been a crafter for most of my life, and crocheting is something I have always found to be relaxing. In addition to being a professional crocheter, I also am proud to be a former Marine. I served five years protecting our country and did three deployments to Iraq. I met my husband about six months before my term ended and I decided that I didn’t want to be a dual military family, so we settled down on base and I pursued a life outside of uniform.

Now we can get back to the festival. My girlfriends and I wanted to shop, take pictures, eat and just have fun but we couldn’t do that with wine glasses in hand (and we couldn’t have as much fun without the wine; it was a wine festival!). I decided the most logical thing to do was handcraft a few necklaces for our group and enjoy the day with our own personalized jewelry. I was amazed by how many people stopped me (fifteen people within twenty minutes) and asked me where I bought my necklaces.

After a lovely day with my girlfriends, I came home and got right to work perfecting my crochet necklaces. While I have seen similar necklaces, I have yet to see them personalized with real bottle corks and I thrive on creating custom orders. Especially popular for bridal parties, bachelorette parties, and anytime women just want to unwind and throw their cares away; my business has been steadily growing since opening my doors in October 2014.

While my signature items are still those delectable wine glass necklaces, I am planning on expanding my product lines to include beer can necklaces, beer bottle necklaces and water bottle necklaces.
