Kutztown University Canine Training & Management

Goals: (1) To impart expertise gained over 40 years relative to positive dog training methods; (2) To address the skills required to successfully manage a business or consulting practice.

Prerequisites: Hold a high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 18 years of age.

Methodology: Lecture, study, observation combined with practical experience.
Program Structure: 17 courses including two student-teaching practica(individual and group settings).

A Certificate of Achievement is granted upon completion of all coursework. Twelve (12) Continuing Education Units (CEUs) representing 120 contact hours are awarded by Kutztown University and recognized by the IAABC (International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants).

Time: Classes meet on Saturdays from 8:30am-4:30pm on the main campus in the Career Development Center.
