Under the helm of Chief Mike Wilson, several programs were implemented: YANA (You Are Not Alone) Program, Lake Shastina Volunteers and C.E.R.T.
The Lake Shastina Police Department currently has one chief, Mike Wilson, three full time officers (Officers Barr, Bullington and Owens) and one part time officer (Officer Robison), providing 24 hour law enforcement protection for the residents of Lake Shastina.
The LSPD plays host to many events throughout the year; notably
The Scott Valley Concert in the Park Series with two shows in the summer. The Kid's Safety Fair, Car and Bike Show, and National Night Out are also events that are enjoyed by Lake Shastina Residents and Siskiyou County as a whole.
Recently, several members of the community participated in CERT
(Community Emergency Response Team) Training. The CERT Volunteers just completed an intense 24-hour training session in October of 2013. Stay tuned for more information on how you can become a CERT Volunteer.
