Lakes Park offers a day of fun for the whole family. Activities and amenities include picnic shelters, a lodge, wedding gazebo, and amphitheater, running and cycling trails, outdoor fitness equipment, splash pad water features, bicycle and boat rentals, train rides, a fragrance garden, community garden and special events.

Parking Fee:

· There is a parking fee for this park. Motorized vehicles must pay $1 per hour or $5 for access to the park all day. This park does accept the Lee County Annual Parking stickers.

· Pedestrians and bicyclists are free. (Pedestrians and bicyclists can access the park via the bike-path on Gladiolus Drive or Summerlin Road).

Facility Reservation:

· All facilities (shelter, lodge, wedding gazebo and amphitheater are available each day from 8 a.m. to 5p.m. These times includes set up and clean up.

· Please be mindful of park rules. There is no alcohol, pets or electric/motorized vehicles allowed. Swimming is prohibited in the lake.

· To reserve a SHELTER, please call 239-533-7275 Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Shelter rentals range from $25 - $50 depending on the size of shelter. All shelters have electricity, picnic tables, water and a BBQ grill or grills. All rentals are for PRIVATE PARTIES ONLY. If you are planning on reserving a shelter for an event such as a walk, run, fundraiser or community event please contact the park at 239-533-7578 before reserving any shelter. If you do not contact park officials prior to your event, it will be cancelled or postponed.

· To reserve the LODGE, WEDDING GAZEBO OR AMPHITHEATHER, please call 239-533-7578 Sunday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The lodge, wedding gazebo and amphitheater cannot be rented online.

o The screened in lodge features bathrooms, kitchen (refrigerator, freezer, stove, sinks, microwave and ice machine), ceiling fans, 15 round tables and 90 chairs. It rents for $150 per day with a $250 cleaning and damage deposit. Your event will need to be over and the lodge will need to be cleaned up by 5 p.m. The cleaning and damage deposit will be refunded to you 3-6 weeks after your event if there is no damage and the lodge is retuned in the same condition in which it was rented.

o The wedding gazebo and amphitheater each rent for $25 per day. These locations have served as the back drop for many wedding ceremonies. If you are interested in having a wedding at the park, please make your reservation six months in advance of the ceremony date. You may also want to consider the lodge or a shelter as your reception site.

Facility Reservation Cancellation:
· If you need to cancel or change your reservation of a SHELTER, LODGE, WEDDING GAZEBO OR AMPHITHEAHER, the person who made the reservation must call 239-533-7275 a minimum of 72 hours before the permit date or no refund or permit change will be granted. You must have the original permit, driver's license or official ID to process any refund or permit change. A $10 cancellation or permit change fee will apply.

This 279-acre facility features 158-acres of freshwater quarry lake. The lake, with depths ranging from a few inches to 20 feet, boasts good fishing for bass, bream and other fresh and saltwater species. The lake also supports an array of wildlife, including the American Alligator. A variety of birds including Ibis, Egrets, Herons, Cormorants and Anhingas will offer good bird watching and photographic opportunities.

The park contains approximately 2.5 miles of paved or natural paths for walking, jogging, biking, and most other non-motorized activities. Lakes Park has also been designated by the American Heart Association as an official "Smart! Walking Path!"

Wheel Fun Rentals 239-332-2453 bike and boat rentals RailroadDepot 239-267-1905: a miniature train ride through the north end of the park. (Group rates available).

Throughout the park the exotic vegetation such as Australian Pine, Brazilian Pepper and Melaleuca have been removed and replanted with native species that will attract and support a more diverse population of wildlife. We welcome people with disabilities and will comply with the American Disabilities Act (ADA).
