Lakeside Audiology

Lakeside Audiology exists to serve persons with hearing impairment who reside in York County and the surrounding areas. Established in 2015 by Dr. Kim Block, a Doctor of Audiology, the goal of Lakeside Audiology is to successfully bridge the gap between diagnosis and treatment for individuals with hearing impairment, and their families.


Dr. Block graduated from the University of Maryland's Doctoral program for Audiology in 2006. Her experience has included working at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland, Providence Health System in Portland, Oregon, and most recently at Cornerstone Ear, Nose & Throat in Charlotte, North Carolina. Specialties include pediatrics, hearing aids, vestibular diagnostics, and clinical research. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and is Board Certified in Audiology by the American Board of Audiology. She holds Audiology licensure in both North and South Carolina.


Upon moving to York County in 2012, Dr. Block quickly realized that there was a void in care for the youngest hearing impaired population in her area. Equipped with that knowledge she began planning her entry into practice ownership. Dr. Block commits to providing a high level of care to patients of all ages and their families.


Dr. Block and her husband are local residents of Tega Cay, where they are raising their three girls, ages 8, 6 and 4. Their family enjoys outdoor recreation, including biking, hiking and time out on the lake. They are committed to their early-morning work-outs and have a passion for cooking good, wholesome, healthy food. Above all else they realize that every day that they get to see the sun rise is a gift, and intend to live each day as such.
