Parham Hendifar is a licensed attorney and a licensed Civil Engineer, P.E. in the State of California. Mr. Hendifar is also admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has worked on behalf of clients ranging from individuals and small businesses to Fortune 500 and premier global companies. His practice areas include intellectual property, real estate and construction law, business litigation, as well as aviation law.

In the field of intellectual property, Mr. Hendifar has worked on behalf of national and global companies in patent ex parte and inter partes reexaminations, patent inter partes patent reviews (IPRs), and covered business method patent reviews (CBM). He has also worked as a litigation consultant on copyright and trademark infringement matters. For the year 2014, Mr. Hendifar was ranked number 36 by Docket Navigator in the Top Lawyers Before The Patent Trial and Appeal Board, as “measured by the number of Inter Partes Reviews and Covered Business Method Review proceedings in 2014 in which the attorney represented one of the litigants.” Representative matters include JP Morgan Chase & Co. v. Maxim Integrated Products (CBM review representing Maxim) and Microsoft Corp. v. IpLearn-Focus LLC (IPR representing IpLearn-Focus).

Mr. Hendifar also has a strong interest in the field of construction law and real estate, where his experience as a Civil Engineer, P.E. provides him with a unique insight into the issues. Based on this interest, Mr. Hendifar has authored an article on certain aspects of engineering design immunity for public entities in California. In addition to construction contractors, Mr. Hendifar has advised clients in connection with landlord-tenant disputes, as well as disputes both against and on behalf of Home Owner Associations (HOA).

In addition, Mr. Hendifar has provided business litigation consultation to clients ranging from small businesses to national manufacturers. He represents the largest flight school at Van Nuys Airport on various issues including aviation law. He has also consulted other clients on issues including breach of contract disputes between manufacturers and suppliers, breach of fiduciary duty, real estate and premises liability, as well as various torts. Mr. Hendifar is also knowledgeable in the fields of business law, corporations, partnerships and other business entities. He obtained his J.D. (UCLA, 2011) with a specialty in business law and policy.

Before entering the legal profession, Mr. Hendifar enjoyed a successful career as a civil engineer (P.E.). His engineering practice has included the design of major structures such as hospitals, fire stations, schools, and a military plant. As an engineer, he has worked at Parsons Infrastructure and Technology, as well as KPFF Consulting Engineers. He received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from UCLA in 2005 summa cum laude and first in his class in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department. Mr. Hendifar received his M.S. in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Earthquake Engineering from UCLA in 2006.
