LeBauer Park

Greensboro Downtown Parks Inc. is a non-profit organization in partnership with the City of Greensboro, Center City Park and LeBauer Park. The mission of GDPI is to serve as the executive management of Greensboro’s downtown parks, focusing on public activation, maintenance, financial well-being and overall vitality.

Carolyn Weill LeBauer passed away in March 2012, leaving her estate to The Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro for the creation of a new public park in Downtown Greensboro. As part of this generous bequest, Carolyn directed her estate to be used “for the creation of a public park for the benefit and enjoyment of the general population of Greensboro, particularly children and their families.” The park opened August 8, 2016!
