More about Lee Plaza Dipolog

Dynamic Development Corporation was established on September 8, 1988 and is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The corporation is primarily engaged in the operation of Department Stores, where it currently owns the two premier shopping landmarks in Dumaguete CIty - the Lee Super Plaza and Lp Hypermart. Expanding its business in the Mindanao area, Lee Plaza City Central in Dipolog City was created in the year 2008.

Lee Plaza started its business operation on December 13, 1988 by occupying a portion of the Ever Theatre Building, under a ten-year period lease contract that expired in the year 2002. The achievement of the phenomenal growth rate and its success of the business during the first four years of its operation prompted the corporation to map out an expansion program to meet the increasing need of space and volume of goods for sale. The expansion program is also designed to expand the target market from the present class C and D customers to include the more discriminating taste of class A and B. The program involves the construction of a five-storey commercial building, now the Lee Super Plaza, that was constructed in 1992 on a 3,600 sq.m. lot owned by the corporation located at the corner of Gov. M. Perdices and San Jose Sts., Dumaguete City, just the next block from its original rented site. The building has a total floor area of 20,435 sq.m. considered the biggest in the entire province of Negros Oriental in the early 1996, furnished with modern store facilities like escalators and centralized air-conditioning system. It operates like a one-stop shop for it has a complete Supermarket and Department Store.

In the year 2001, the operation has expanded with the construction of the seven-level annex building, completed in the following year thus adding 6, 725 sq.m. more floor area of the now Lee Super Plaza for the very increasing volume of goods. With this addition, the building has appropriated two levels occupied as parking area.

Truly adapting to the concept of one-stop shopping convenience, the shopping center houses facilities like pharmacy, travel agency, offsite ATMs, dental clinic, a whole floor of food court, entertainment arcade and playgroup center, to name a few.

With the rise of economic activities in the city, the corporation feels the need for another expansion. Its existing facilities could no longer cope with the swelling product display and customer traffic; the reason to create Lp Hypermart, a branch store located in Bagacay, uptown of Dumaguete City which was opened on April 2004. It is positioned some distance away from the commercial center due to congestion and alarming traffic condition of the main streets; however, the place is now gradually becoming the site of upcoming business activities. It is a one-storey building with mezzanine level of a warehouse type with a total floor area of 6, 000 sq.m. operating like a wholesale store with complete supermarket, dry goods and food court. Additionally, it has a convenient parking space that can accommodate approximately 120 vehicles.

In November 12, 2010, pursuant to Republic Act 7916 and PEZA Board Resolution # 10-134, issued President Proclamation No. 65, creating and designating several parcels of land located at Jose Romero Sr. Street, Bacagay, Dumaguete City containing an area of more or less 20, 913 sq.m. as Information Technology (IT) Park to be known as Lp Information Technology Park. Currently a 6,000 sq.m. area has been leased out to Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) companies specifically SPI Technologies and SPO CRM for their operations thus improving the ambiance of the vicinity. The IT Park allows access to a comfortable shopping convenience of Lp Hypermart along with other facilities that are operating within the corporation's property like The Court Sports Club, Eye Center and Bingo Boutique Amusement Center.

With the corporations continuing vision, it opted to take its chances to expand its operations in the Mindanao area by creating LP City Central which was opened for business on October 2008. It's a medium size mall wiht four-storeys having a total floor area of 25,000 sq.m. constructed in a 7,200 sq.m. lot. The basement occupied as parking space can accommodate around 100 vehicles. It houses top food chains in the country like Jollibee, Chowking and Mang Inasal to name a few. Other facilities that can be found are pharmacy, ATMs, Telco Business center, Cargo Forwarder, Pawnshop, Beauty Salon, Dental Clinic, a number of retail shops and a complete Supermarket and Department Store.

In 2014, the corporation will venture in another line of business awaiting completion of Paseo Perdices located along the vibrant but relaxing view of Rizal Boulevard where rows of F&B establishments are operating. Paseo Perdices is constructed in a 1,253 sq.m. lot and will house different F&B facilities, service related industries and lifestyle tenants.

Through the years, the corporation has exerted efforts to meet the challenges of surviving in the highly competitive trading business. Aside from its over 5,000 suppliers, both local and Manila based, today it has set its effort to go with the global trend by establishing contacts with foreign based suppliers, thus becoming more dynamic in its move in satisfying the market - to be able to deliver what the customer want.

With the corporation's management approach run by enterprising and talented group who has many years of experience in the retail business, Dynamic Development Corporation looks forward to further growth and expansion ahead.
