Lee's Summit Open Arts Night

This is not a "Christian" event?

No, Lee's Summit Open Arts Night is hosted at a church, New Springs Community Church, but this is not a religious event. If you're hoping for a sermon, you are welcome to come back to the church on Sunday morning at 10am.

This event is organized by a group of people who love music and the arts and want to host regular events that bring people together in a safe environment where you can bring the kids too. Open Arts Night is all about a bigger community of unique people from different backgrounds, ages, and beliefs. There may be performances by people of different faiths who express this through their performance, but this is not a forum for confrontation, preaching, and/or making political statements. It's all about showcasing and supporting local artists and their talent.

Each month we feature a different performer and there will be a different line up at each show. Events will showcase musicians, dancers, spoken word and poetry, comedy, other performances, and fine art too.

This event is open to all ages, and is a family friendly environment. Feel free to bring Grandma, the kids, your BFFs, or your date. Everyone is welcome to attend and participate!

Performers are asked to keep it PG. If you would like to perform, please contact Alex Sons (Alexsonsmusic@gmail.com or 816.838.7364) to save your spot at an upcoming show.

Bring a snack to share for our appetizer potluck or you are welcome to bring a picnic or carry-out and eat dinner during the show. Soda, coffee, and tea is available for $1.
