•THE BUSINESS•
Leighanne's Photographs was created in 2015 while the owner, Julia, was taking the year off to recreate her old business, Jules Photography.
•THE PHOTOGRAPHER •
"I have always loved the idea that with a camera in your hands, you can capture a moment that otherwise you most likely won't remember."
"At the age of fourteen, I created Jules Photography. I made a Facebook page for the reason of wanting to share photographs with my family. I will be honest, at the time... I never intended it to be anything more than a hobby. However....as time passed, I realized how much I loved it and how much I wanted this to be my career. In 2012, people began to contact me for photography. A few months after that, I registered Jules Photography with the state of Louisiana and began taking on clients."
"In 2014, I realized that I hadn't put enough effort/thought into Jules Photography and what I wanted it to be. I decided to take the year 2015 off to create something that represented me and my art, but also something that my clients would love as well. I am now very excited to present Leighanne's Photographs!"
"While taking 2015 off to re-create Jules Photography into Leighanne's Photographs, I took it as an opportunity to practice different techniques and try new things with my camera. I can't wait to see what Leighanne's Photographs will do in the future and more importantly, I can't wait to capture memories for you and your family!"
" Since photography isn't the only thing in my life, here are some other things about me so you can get a better idea of who I am. Those who know me would probably tell you that I am an old soul. I enjoy spending my time reading, painting, writing, surrounding myself in nature, gardening, and baking. My favorite song is Debussy's Clair De Lune. My Favorite Book is currently Pride & Prejudice. My favorite flowers are peonies. I can some time be obsessed with mountains, even though I have never seen any in person. I enjoy painting abstracts with dark shades of blues, greens, grays, and blacks. I love blueberries and iced coffee. I think black and white photographs make for the most beautiful images and I never wear pink."
