Limestone County Council on Aging

The Council on Aging offers the following programs to seniors 55 and over (depending on program guidelines) in Athens & Limestone County.
*Legal Assistance through an elder law attorney.
*SHIP Insurance counseling for new Medicare clients
*SenioRX prescription assistance (55+)
*Meals on Wheels- meals for the home bound
*Transportation services for doctors visits & shopping by appointment (60+) & to our local senior activity centers.
*In-Home Services- Seniors & disabled to assist with needs in the home.
*Health & Wellness community groups & screenings.
*Senior Centers- Lunchtime nutritional meal, dancing, games (including many cards game groups), music, off-site outings.
The centers also host an exercise class on M, W & F from 8:30am-9:30am. This is a low impact program taught by a professional exercise instructor.
