The Wild Animal Sanctuary has opened two great food establishments for the benefit of its visiting guests - as well as for the people living in the area of Hudson & Keenesburg.

The "Lion's Den Cafe" and The Sanctuary's "Ice Cream Shop" are open 7 days a week from 10:00 AM to SUNSET (which changes almost daily). Our winter hours for each venue are different so please give us call for visiting - or for stopping by to pick up your order to go at 303.536.0118 ext: 143

The Lion's Den Cafe has lots of hot ready-made items to eat - such as pasta dishes, soups, and pizza - as well as a fully-stocked salad bar. We also offer a broad range of Grill Items such as Hamburgers, Steak Sandwiches, Reuben Sandwiches, French Fries, Onion Rings, Nachos and a whole host of other items that you can order hot and fresh off our grill!

People who are not coming to visit the animals, and just want a great place to eat - or to order food to-go - love the Sanctuary's Lion's Den Cafe and Ice Cream Shop!

The Lion's Den Cafe is designed so that people choose their food and then go outside the Cafe to eat in the Welcome Center's Central Picnic Area or on any of the upper decks. Families, friends, and coworkers have plenty of options to sit together to enjoy their meal, or they can choose to order food to go.

NOTE ** During the Summer, the Welcome Center is a great place to eat, with many options for warm and comfortable seating. However, during the Winter, there is limited seating inside the Lion's Den Cafe, so if you choose to eat-in, we may run out of space, and you may have to eat in the Central Picnic Area - which can be rather cold - since it is an unheated space.

The Cafe was designed much like a Cafeteria where guests can choose from previously prepared foods like Pasta Dishes, Soups, Salads, and Pizza... or they can order straight from the grill and have one of our Chefs prepare their meal right on the spot.

The Cafe also has a large double-deck Pizza Oven that cooks world-class pizza for our guests. Guests can select pre-cooked slices for a grab-n-go lunch... or they can choose to order a whole pizza for the family or group that wishes to have their own fresh-baked pizza!

The Cafe also has a wide selection of drinks - both hot & cold - and a "Grab-n-Go" cooler with deserts, breakfast burritos, and a whole assortment of quick & easy items to take with you wherever you are headed.
