The Liver Mush Festival of Marion NC is an annual event held each year the first Saturday in June. The streets are closed and the downtown area becomes an open space for the community to celebrate this southern staple.
Liver Mush, in case ya don't know, is a pork and cornmeal product made for generations, by folks coming south through the
Appalachian Mountains by German settlers from Philadelphia.
We celebrate that heritage each year with this wonderful festival.
