This Exclusive Club is Part of California Rodeo Salinas
The Salinas Sports Complex is home to the California Rodeo, the most well-known event held on the grounds. What people may not know is that the Salinas Sports Complex is a facility that is run year-round by the Rodeo Association who maintains the complex with a small staff on monies earned by the Rodeo Association through events such as the California Rodeo, Monster Jam and facility rentals. Upkeep of the grounds is expensive and budgeted out very carefully each year on a project by project basis. The Rodeo Association evaluated the use of its assets and decided that they should be creative and develop new ways to generate income for capital improvements. In 2011 the Los Amigos del Rodeo club was born and is operated by a team of California Rodeo volunteers.
The Los Amigos del Rodeo is an exclusive group limited to just 85 memberships with 2 people allowed per membership. The Los Amigos members have access to a VIP venue during the Rodeo with unlimited premium alcohol, exceptional meals and exciting entertainment daily. The LADR team focuses on giving members the best service in our air conditioned, upscale VIP room where members can enjoy the Rodeo performance on one of the big screen TV’s. The VIP room is a 21 & over venue, that only members have access to.
Members will receive a special Los Amigos del Rodeo buckle and/or pendant, 2 daily passes that grant access into their very own VIP room, as well as 2 daily reserved box seats to view the rodeo performance and a daily VIP parking pass.
During the year, members will be invited to an event to determine how funds from their club will be allocated around the complex. Over the past three years the Los Amigos del Rodeo members voted to sponsor the following projects: a roof on the cowboy hospital, lighting over the bucking chutes, a gator to be used by Salinas Sports Complex grounds crews throughout the year, roof for the facilities office, new bathroom hand-dryers, re-finish the floors in the exhibition hall, a new BBQ pit that will be used on the directors patio & at special events, and money towards the new stadium.

Membership dues are $1500 annually and the club is a 501C3 charitable nonprofit.
